Nashville has always been a city built on service. Long before the neon lights and pedal taverns, this was a place where people showed up for one another. That spirit is part of why Nashville Adventures exists, and it is exactly why we donate 1 percent of our total revenue to veteran nonprofits and scholarships every single year.
This is not a marketing line. It is a core value.
As a veteran-founded company rooted in Nashville history, giving back to the community that gave us so much was never optional. It was baked in from day one.
Where This Commitment Comes From
Before Nashville Adventures ever gave its first tour, I had already lived a few lives.
I served in Afghanistan during a hearts and minds mission with the U.S. Army. Later, I spent three years in the Peace Corps in Armenia, working in a small town where community support was not a nice idea but a survival skill. I then had the surreal honor of serving as a UK Parliamentary Fellow, walking the halls of Westminster with a Southern accent and a deep appreciation for public service.
Those chapters shaped how I see responsibility.
When Nashville Adventures started growing from a side project into a real company, the question was not whether we would give back. The question was how to do it in a way that actually mattered.
Supporting Veterans Who Served Nashville and the Nation
A major portion of our annual donation goes directly to Operation Stand Down, one of the most impactful veteran support organizations in Middle Tennessee.
Operation Stand Down provides housing assistance, employment services, benefits navigation, and hands-on support to veterans who need it most. These are not abstract problems. These are men and women who wore the uniform and came home to uncertainty.
We believe strongly that veteran support should be local, tangible, and consistent. Writing a check once feels good. Building an annual commitment that scales as the business grows feels responsible.
Investing in the Next Chapter Through Scholarships
The second part of our 1 percent commitment supports scholarships designed to open doors for people who might not otherwise get a shot.
I have been the person counting quarters to afford dinner. I also know firsthand how one opportunity can change the entire direction of a life.
Our scholarships are built around that idea. They focus on access, leadership, and civic engagement, especially for veterans and people who want to serve their communities in meaningful ways.
This is not about charity. It is about opportunity.
Why We Chose 1 Percent
One percent is intentional.
It scales with success, which means the better Nashville Adventures does, the more good we can do alongside it. It also forces accountability. You cannot hide behind intentions when giving is built into your revenue model.
This approach keeps us grounded. Every tour, every booking, every guest becomes part of something bigger than a walking route or a good story.
Nashville Adventures is a Business Built on Community, Not Just Tourism
Nashville Adventures does not have a brick-and-mortar storefront. We walk the city. We meet people where history actually happened. That makes it impossible to disconnect from the community we operate in.
From historic neighborhoods to local distilleries to nonprofit partners, this business exists because Nashville shows up for it.
Giving back is how we return that favor.

This Is Not a One-Time Announcement
The recent press coverage highlighting our donations was appreciated, but the real work happens quietly and consistently.
This is an annual commitment. It will continue to grow as Nashville Adventures grows. It will remain part of how we define success.
We want to be known not just for great tours, but for being a company that takes care of its people.
See Nashville With a Company That Cares About It
If you are joining us on a tour, you are not just learning about Nashville history. You are helping support veterans, scholarships, and the city that made this company possible.
If you would like to explore Nashville with guides who care deeply about this place and the people who shaped it, our Nashville History Walking Tour goes over the stories on the very streets where they happened.
Sometimes the best way to give back is simply to show up, walk the city, and be part of its story.
