A Kind Word From Across the Pond About Nashville Adventures: Why Hospitality Still Matters in Music City

Nashville has been called a lot of things over the years. Music City. Smashville. The Vegas of the South, which makes most locals wince a little. But recently, something different caught my attention.
We were mentioned in the Irish Daily Mail!
Not for music charts. Not for bachelorette chaos. But for kindness and hospitality.
In the article, the writer described Nashville by saying that “guitars aren’t the only delights” in the city, and later noted the warmth and friendliness of the people walking its streets. That is not something you see in every travel feature. It was striking to read about Nashville that way.
When Nashville Gets Noticed for the Right Reasons
The article talked about how Nashville feels welcoming in a way that is becoming rare. Not flashy. Not forced. Just genuine. People holding doors. Conversations with strangers. A city that still knows how to look visitors in the eye.
The writer observed that Music City offers more than just its sound and that the “kindness woven into the city’s culture” is worth experiencing. That line made me smile because it is exactly what we try to showcase when people book a tour with us.
And tucked into that broader story was a mention of Nashville Adventures and the way we treat people.
That mention stopped me cold in the best way.
We work hard to be kind, but we never set out to be noticeable for it. Hospitality here is not a strategy. It is just how you are supposed to act.
Hospitality Is Not a Script
One of the reasons I started Nashville Adventures was because I was tired of scripted experiences. Press a button. Hear a speech. Move along.
That is not how this city works. Nashville has always been about people first. Stories second. Buildings third.
When someone books a Nashville walking tour with us they are not getting a performance. They are getting a conversation. Sometimes it is history. Sometimes it is music. Sometimes it is where to find the best coffee before the crowds show up.
And sometimes it is just asking where someone is from and actually listening to the answer.
Kindness Is the Most Underrated Attraction in Nashville

You can Google things to do in Nashville all day long. Honky tonks. Murals. Hot chicken. You will find all of that.
What you cannot Google is how it feels when a city welcomes you.
That feeling comes from moments. A guide slowing down for someone who needs a break. A recommendation that is honest even if it sends you somewhere else. A handshake instead of a headset.
Why This Matters More Than Awards
We have been fortunate to receive awards, five star reviews, and some great press. All of that matters. But being noticed for kindness matters more.
Because hospitality is the foundation of everything we do. If you cannot be decent to people, the history does not matter. The stories do not land. The city does not open up.
Nashville has always been a place where strangers become regulars and visitors leave feeling like they belong. If Nashville Adventures plays even a small role in that, then we are doing something right.
Come Walk With Us
If you want to experience Nashville beyond the noise, beyond the scripts, and beyond the stereotypes, come walk with us.
We will show you the stories, the corners, and the moments that make this city what it is. And we will probably crack a joke or two along the way.
Because history should be human. Hospitality should be real. And kindness should never be a surprise.
