AmericanaFest is the annual festival and conference put on by the Americana Music Association, and it is unlike almost anything else on the American music calendar.

Early announcements include Melissa Etheridge, Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs, Judy Collins and Friends, Katie Pruitt, Langhorne Slim, Ruthie Foster, Shakey Graves, and the great Nashville gospel institution the McCrary Sisters. Add Buddy Miller, Hiss Golden Messenger, Sonny Landreth, and Houndmouth, and you start to see the range.

If you know your Nashville history, that venue choice is no accident. The Ryman was built as a tabernacle in 1892 and became the Mother Church of Country Music.
